Author Visits

Simon James Green

Robin Stevens

On the 19th June 2024, Robin Stevens came to school to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the publication of ‘Murder Most Unladylike’.

Sathnam Sanghera

In July 2023 we welcomed Sathnam Sanghera to talk about his book ‘Stolen Histories’. Our young people were fascinated as he talked about the British Empire and how it came to own many of the treasures we find in our museums. A copy of his book was purchased for every pupil in year 7 to support their studies in history and their cultural capital.

Aisling Fowler

In September 2022 we hosted Aisling Fowler as she promoted her book ‘Fireborn’ now a very popular read amongst all of our pupils.

Sufiya Ahmed

In 2022 we welcomed Aisling Fowler and Sufiya Ahmed to talk about their books.

Dan Freedman

Just before we went into lockdown in March 2020, we were lucky to host Dan Freedman. The pupils were enthralled by his talk about his time touring with the England football team, his dislike of writing at school and his fight for publication.

Sophie Anderson

In January 2019, a group of pupils met Sophie Anderson and were each given a free signed copy of her book, The House with Chicken Legs.

Cathy Cassidy

We were so pleased to host Cathy Cassidy’s book launch for Sami’s Silver Lining! in 2018.
