Coding Box Workshops
On Tuesday 6th March, all year 8 and 9 students became code crackers for the day. Hosted by Becky from the Happy Puzzle Company, students worked in teams of 6, to solve puzzles in the “Coding Box” workshop. The answer to each puzzle was a code to a padlock on a box, inside which were 8 more boxes. Similar to an escape room experience, except here the pupils were trying to get into a box rather than out of a room. The puzzles extended their problem-solving skills with topics ranging from time sequencing and map reading to 3D visualisation and balance. At times, the problems were challenging and frustrating, but successful teams showed resilience to overcome them. Are GCHQ recruiting?
