Welcome to the FOSH webpage!
Friends of St Hilda’s is a group of enthusiastic parents whose aim is to organise fun events and activities for pupils, parents/guardians, family members, teaching staff and the local community. Our primary focus is to provide enjoyable events with emphasis on the social aspect, to encourage everyone to integrate together and share the occasion.
All monies generated from our events and activities are distributed back into the school to help purchase a whole host of items to support our pupil’s education and wellbeing.
It is very important to us that everyone has the opportunity to contribute and provide input both to events we facilitate and how the funds which we raise are utilised. We are therefore always grateful to any new helpers wishing to join us in hosting events and any ideas for future fundraising activities.
We are always on the lookout for items we can use for fundraising at our raffles. If you feel you have something which may be suitable please just deposit it at the school office and we will take care of the rest.
Please feel free to come along to any of our events or regular meetings, which will be advertised here and also via newsletters, noticeboards and social media.
We hope to see you soon at one of our events!

LATEST NEWS…
It’s been a turbulent year for the entire world and the FOSH are still battling on. Once the first lockdown kicked in our members sprung into action. Staff volunteers were actively making plastic visors and medical grade scrubs for local hospitals and care homes. The FOSH stepped up and launched a fantastic fundraising campaign with a gofundme page. This incredibly climbed to a figure that topped £11,000. Fantastic going for a group of volunteers!
The FOSH have not stopped there. They have dipped into hard earned resources to purchase visors and masks for our students and staff, helping to ensure the safety of everyone. Students are delighted with the rather impressive St Hilda’s face masks!
All in all its been a tough year but we look forward to getting back to normality. A bingo night or race night is a must for the summer term once restrictions have lifted!
See you soon,
The FOSH
