GCSE results 2018 – what a fabulous day!

What a fabulous day!  It really was our honour to open the doors to our GCSE students to collect their fantastic results.  It soon became apparent that both students and parents were as pleased with the results as I and the teachers were!  The atmosphere was amazing!  Lots of tears of joy and relief and lots of smiles.

The vast majority of the GCSEs were the new, more demanding ones.  Our students sat more examinations than in previous years and their examinations were longer, but this did not affect their results!  St Hilda’s students rose to the challenge.

We also held our St Hilda’s College enrolment day today and were absolutely inundated with students signing up!  Record numbers at St Hilda’s College this year.  We do have a small number of courses with places, but they are filling up fast.  Please contact us if you are interested in joining our College.

A special thank you to the St Hilda’s staff and parents for all of their hard work and support during the very stressful time of GCSEs.  This really is a team effort and it paid off.  We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 11 students back as Year 12 students on Thursday 6th September.
