HE+ Residential, Magadalene College, Cambridge, Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th July 2017

Five of our sixth form students attended the HE+ Residential Course at Cambridge University on the above dates. A very well-considered and varied timetable of events consisted of lectures, the chance to observe a mock interview, advice about the application process, in-depth information regarding student finance, and the highlight of a guided punt along the River Cam of this most hallowed and ancient educational institution. One of our students even managed to do what is apparently a tradition for every Cambridge student at some point: she locked her key in her room and had to ask for assistance from the very irate porter of the college to regain access! Whether applying to Cambridge or not, this was a valuable, instructive and enlightening experience for the students involved.
