Latin Enrichment Trip, Thursday 22nd June 2017
Since the last academic year, a group of ten pupils have been undertaking Stage One of The Cambridge Latin Course as an after-school enrichment activity. Their dedication and enthusiasm has been unwavering, and they now know their verb conjugations like the backs of their hands. As a reward for all their hard work, the pupils will be attending a day trip to Cambridge University on Thursday 22nd June 2017. The trip will consist of a tour of the Museum of Classical Archaeology, lunch at one of the university’s prestigious ancient colleges, and the opportunity to quiz Dr Jerry Toner, an eminent scholar of Roman civilisation. These ten young ladies have certainly done their bit for keeping a ‘dead language’ very much alive.
