Peers in Schools programme – Lord Storey’s visit
As part of the Peers in Schools programme organised by the Houses of Lords, our Year 12 Politics class and some Year 10 students met Lord Storey on Friday 22nd June. He spoke to them about his role and work as well as discussing possible reforms/abolition of the House of Lords. He then organised a vote as it would occur in the House on the legalisation of soft drugs. This visit was very well received and linked directly to the A Level Politics specification.
