Traffic Plea
Safeguarding is a school’s number one priority. The safety of all of our students, irrespective of age, is paramount. I have recently had a number of complaints from parents/carers and our neighbours regarding the driving and parking close to school. I have had several meetings with the Police, residents and our students to look at how we improve the situation. I have sent parents and carers a special newsletter outlining some of the issues and suggesting some solutions. It is not meant to be patronising in any way, but I would like you to take time to read it. Please click the link below to view this newsletter.
Alongside the meetings, we have run a competition to design a poster to be displayed outside school. I am pleased to announce that Isaac Butland from Year 8 was the winner of the poster competition and I have attached the winning design!
You may have seen the many posters asking us to ‘slow down for Bobby’ to raise awareness of speed and promoting a 20mph zone around schools. Tuesday would have been Bobby’s 10th birthday.
